Why We Built This Site
Tennessee offers several public record channels, but they answer different questions. The Knox County Sheriff's Office maintains county booking and custody information. Mike Hammond's Criminal Court Clerk keeps General Sessions and Criminal Court case files, including dispositions. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation maintains fingerprint-supported state criminal history, TDOC publishes felony custody and supervision data through FOIL, and TBI operates the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. We bring the verified search paths, request steps, contacts, and known fees into one county-focused reference.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, with no connection to a Tennessee court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Our role has firm limits:
- We cannot issue certified records, court papers, or state criminal-history reports
- We cannot submit a TPRA request, expungement petition, or other filing for a visitor
- We cannot interpret a specific charge, warrant, disposition, or case as legal advice
- We cannot perform an official record check or retrieve a person's government file
- We cannot promise that an agency's fee, address, phone number, or hours will never change
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Knox County Sheriff's Office, the Criminal Court Clerk, or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. We identify the route, but we do not issue the document.
